Region Skåne
Health care is the dominant activity in Region Skåne (the regional council). Region Skåne also plays a leading role in work to develop the infrastructure, strengthen trade and industry and create a sustainable, attractive Skåne.
There are close links between the highly specialised healthcare in Region Skåne and medical research at Lund University. Together with the Copenhagen region, Skåne constitutes one of the fastest-growing regions in Europe for companies and research in the field of life science, Medicon Valley.
The Capital Region of Denmark
The Capital Region of Denmark has a sharp focus on health research and innovation, in particular where strong collaboration with enterprises, universities and other parties forms the basis for the health services of the future. This also includes new innovative treatments, technologies and health-care services.The Policy on Health Research 2020 strengthens the framework for health research and will contribute to launching important initiatives. Health research also helps generate growth in the bio-health sector, which means that the bio-health cluster of the region is comparable to the best in the world.
Region Zealand
Region Zealand is one of the five regions in Denmark. Comprising 17 municipalities, the Region encompasses an area of 7,273 square kilometres.
Region Zealand performs two main tasks: Regional development and an operational enterprise in the area of healthcare and social affairs. The region's vision is to create the best framework for sustainable growth and quality of life for its citizens.
